Silvina’s Nature was born from a love of baking and sweet treats. A funny motivator for a healthy, reduced sugar, gluten-free meringue – but my goal has always been to change this misconception that treats must be sinful.
I spent a long time struggling to find a balance in my personal life between the cakes and treats I so desperately craved and the healthy lifestyle my love of exercise was leading me towards.
After battling with endless crash diets and rising stress levels, I finally came to the simple realisation that it’s all about balance, not denial.
But I have baked (and of course eaten!) cakes all my life. My palate cannot be easily tricked into thinking a healthy snack is also a delicious treat. I just wasn’t finding anything on the market that really offered the indulgence I was craving, without the overload in calories and sugar I dreaded.
So I set to work determined to use my love and experience in baking to create something that is low in sugar and uses all-natural ingredients, but still tastes delicious. After months of testing (and tasting), Crowns finally emerged from my North London kitchen.
Since that very first successful batch, with the help of what is now a close-knit little team, Silvina’s Nature has developed a range of delicious flavours of Crowns: Peanut Butter and Coconut and Almond are just two of our latest.
They’re each delicious and surprisingly healthy – the perfect pick-me-up!
